She's Gone Gone Gone
I'm in the middle of recording a new CD, and lately I've been churning out a song almost every day.
Some of them are posted on my web site, just scroll down to where it says "Songs by Rick Alexander" - and the first 10 or 11 songs are the "new" old tunes.
It's unintentional on my part, but it seems every song I pick for this album is a sad song - with the possible exception of "Get Rhythm" which suggests a viable antidote for having the blues . .
This CD will be called "Songs From The Old Country" and it's all classic country tunes, no originals on this one.
I plan on having about 20+ songs on it, so it's pretty much halfway done.
"She's Gone Gone Gone" was recorded yesterday - a great old Lefty Frizzell tune. Lefty was an innovator, a true original whose influence can be heard in many prominent country artists.
Anyway, it was a fun song to do.
