Saluda Show
What is it about Saluda that brings out the crowds and talent? Music and fellowship. With Russ, Herby and now the famous Joe Turner, this was another weekend that was great. WOW!

Thanks Bob,
I would like to thanks all the players, staff band members, the Shriners and all the people that come and support this wonderful event. I know that 21 years ago that Buddy and Dad never would have thought this convention would be so successful. I would also like to thank Terry Rogers for doing a great job. Another great Convention. Please keep dad (Charles Reece) in your prayers, he desperately needs them.
Sincerely,
Jerry Reece

Hey friends,
Another great day in Saluda. With so many great friends, old and new, and all the great players, how could it be anything but. Only thing that would have made it better is if a few folks who couldn't make it could have. Rick, we missed you and your fiddle, and Stowers, I was hoping you'd make the trip with the Georgia gang. And yea Steve, we missed you too. Bill, Bill and Bill from Georgia, we missed you guys. It goes without saying, with Charles not there, there was a huge void. We all need to remember him in our prayers.
Way too many great players to mention, but the now famous Joe Turner, Herby, and that Hicks fella were really outstanding.
To my buddies in the staff band, Woody, Johnny, and Wayne, I may not say it enough, but you guys sure are fun to work with. This weekend we had the added pleasure of having Bob Strickland work a bunch with us. What a good player.
Long story short, if you missed this one you missed a good one. Don't miss the Feb show featuring Terry Crisp. We'll be looking for you.
See ya soon,
Jim

Roger,
Chris will have an even brighter future if you teach him to play I'll Sign The Papers. I haven't met him, but I've heard his picking and I travel in his area quite a bit. (He actually lives not very far from were we played that show in VA. last year. I'm going to try to do Saluda the next time. I think it's in February. I have to go to China for a week. I hope it's not a conflict. I'm recording I'll Sigh The Papers myself and I need to steal some professional licks from you.
If I catch Chris playing a the MAC when I'm up there. I'm going to go see him then.
I missed seeing everyone. I've made so many good friends from playing music, and they mean so much to me.
