Mostly 'cause some bozo stands there just off-camera prompting them to do so. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

Cal-
I was thinking the same thing. By the way, you are great too on youtube with the Sheriff, particularly Sweet Dreams. |

Thanks, Gary.
Roger, I think you're right.
Actually, I've worked for and seen a lot of country artists prompt the crowd to applaud while somebody's playing a solo. Always thought it was dumb.
But that's a great video anyway. _________________ C#

This one just kills me, there was a thread on this a couple of weeks ago - that is some TONE.
The audience reaction may well be canned, but comes off to me feeling like they're showing appreciation for Buddy. I remember my negative reaction to that kind of applause in the middle of a solo the first time I went to the Opry a very long time ago, but I guess I've just gotten used to that in classic country music. |
