Jeff

Jeff was the key that unlocked the dor for me. That was in oct, 79 in the advanced course. I went at the suggestion of then Deleware steeler Tommy Epps. Tommy had been there a year or so before me. I'd like to thank Mr. Epps for that. Tommy hope you are doing well in Nevada. Jeff had a building off the interstate that could hold a dozen or more students. There was a motel nearby and I shared a room with Ken Denning from the UK. The week went by quickly. Now thursday, that was the day. The big E in concert. Wished I still had the cassette tape of that; Hot Jazz, Country, Hot Jazz, Country,... and Jeff hollerin' "Play Linus and Lucy" which he finally did. Five days for $350.00. Jeff Newman launched many a budding steel player and the world is a better place because of him. Don D.
