John,
My guess is yes...as you know, the video is a little fuzzy but it sure sounds like Hal...Now, there's a superb example of great pickin' by one of the Masters and of course, a Master himself, the "Singing Sherriff" Mr. Faron Young! :) Thanks for posting this link...very inspirtational! Carl

I have no doubt that it is Hal. He had a very unique way of sitting behind a steel. Plus he and I once talked about the ShoBud Christmas Tree Amp. That was one of the first amps I owned, but regretfully I pluged it in at a club one night and OH NO, 220 Volts wired to a 110V outlet. End of story.

Step aside

This video was aptly named. With all due respect to Faron Young, it wouldv'e been nice if he'd stepped aside for a better shot of that great steel player. hehe

Keyless Sho-Bud

Post by Al Udeen »

Definately Hal! I'm quite sure he's playing the single neck black keyless Sho-Bud that he played for a short time prior to 1975, Hal played that prototype guitar that Sho-Bud was going to add to their line at the time, Dave Jackson & Ron Elliot would know the exact timeline that Hal used that guitar! Regards! au
