Guys, there is a pretty clean Ricky 206 on ebay.
As John Ely used to say the trailer park model.
I had the D8 and the T8,IMHO best sounding production steels made.

Link to auction on eBay.

Thanks for pointing that one out, Lee. As the seller says in the auction, "IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THIS TYPE OF GUITAR HERE IT IS." Smile

Boy, that is one clean guitar!

I had a triple 8 that I bought here on the forum and later traded for a 50s Gibson L-4 (best thing I ever did--that guitar changed my life). Anyway, I liked the Rick OK, but that's about it.

Lee, if you say that they're great guitars, I believe you.

I should clarify that statement.
Even though I do like these models, I meant I generally prefer Rickenbacker over Fender and Gibson.
It is just an opinion not an absolute.
I thought this guitar may be of interest to a trad hawaiian player.

I have a double-8, dark wood, non-pedal Rick in absolutely pristine condition with a blue hardshell case, with plush RED interior.
It was only played once on a live television show,
"The Bells of St.Marys"......Jerry Byrd style and since I got it brand new in 1956, the salesman's demo model, it's pretty much remained in its case.
I was searching for a Bakelite at the time and this was NOT a Bakelite so I returned to my Bigsby.
Compared to the BLOND model discussed in this post how does the above mentioned model stack up insofar as popularity goes?
