I have an old recording of it from Hank Snow, the best I ever heard of it. cant believe no one new of him doing it.

well, first of all it is a finely written song by two experts at the business of writing hits. This really a hit.
I believe that Rome Johnson was a West Coast singer with a really fine voice he even put it some time singing with The Sons of the Pioneers.

Wiley Barkdull from houston recorded it,he had a REAL deep voice,my dad played bass with wiley in the 50s,i've heard him sing it a 1000 times..Charlie........

hank snow had kind of a radio hit maybe in the fifties, prolly rca or its sub bluebird ?? pluck his flat top a little too? some might recall.

no one will ever know composer prolly fred rose mel foree about 1945,46. sure became a song many wanted to record. yes hank sr may have recorded as well. he had very close association with fred rose. it was talked about strongly in that era.

I recorded a few sessions with Rome Johnson at King Records in Cincinnati back in the late 40's and early 50's, and we later became close friends. If my memory hasn't failed me, Rome was the first to record "No One Will Ever Know." He had a deep, resonant, baritone voice -- not unlike Vaughn Monroe. He passed away back in the '90's.
