Very Happy Laughing

Greg; on the clip with Carl smith doing " I Over looked An Orchid", Is that Shot Jackson backing him on the pretty sho-Bud. I know it's not Johnny Siebert. He is the steeler backing him on " Are You Teasing me ". But it certainly sounds like Shot's playing on " Thr Orchid Song ". thanks..Bernie Very Happy Whoa! Laughing

Bernie,

I am not sure but there are many others more qualified than me to answer that. I loved Shot's dobro playing on the Emmons Aces album (Old Ponchartrain) and his steel playing on some of the old Kitty Wells records. He seems to get such awesome tone and has great emotion in his playing. His charsima is amazing! I never met him or saw him play but like most others, I am in awe of all of his abilities and how he attracted the best of all breeds to his endeavers.

You have to hear Jim Murphy in person to appreciate his versatility and tone. He just has something that as soon as you hear it, you know he is not an ordinary person.
