This week, Rusty Thetan who performs regularly at Catfish Johnny's in FL was visiting Nashville. Here's a video of him doing my wife's favorite song "Statue of a Fool". I apologize for the rough Bass playing.

Nick, I assume Rusty is on the way back for the Winter. The Catfish Johnny jams start on Nov 4th. I've been over there and checked out the PA system, put new strings on the stage bass, etc so we are ready to go.

Yeah Jack, Rusty left out for FLA this morning. BTW, that was Lynn Owsley's Derby I was playing. Don't worry I'm still a Emmons man

. Anyway Linda and me will be down to see you guys right after New Years. Coming a little earlier this time because of the new grandbaby on the way. Tell everybody at Catfish's hey for me. I'd like to call Bernie, John Thomas & Billy Box sometime if you could maybe get me their phone numbers.

Nick, that's what I thought. Is that the "Texas Troubadour" model or his regular Derby? I couldn't tell in the video. I had heard he was picking out at Longhollow.

I just hope the gas prices continue to drop. It was $2.399 at the Kangaroo gas station at US41 and Eden Dr in Inverness.

That's the new TX Troubadour Derby. Jack you should see those beautiful endcasts on it. It don't play half-bad either.
