Early 60's Fender Pedal 400
Body has been refinished in a brown stain, has all the original parts (knobs, pickups, legs, cables, etc), 4 pedals plus an added knee lever. Brown tolex case is in nice shape - all latches and hinges work. I'd like to get $650 plus shipping for it. I'd be interested in trades of equal value if you had an 8-string Fender lap steel, a B-bender Telecaster, or an American Fender guitar.

In response to some questions I've gotten on this steel:
1. It has the roller bridge and roller nut.
2. I checked the electronics and cable mechanism - everything works with no problems.

It's hard to see how the knee lever is hooked up; in the pic it appears to not be connected to anything. Also, there are 4 pedals but appear to be more than 4 rod/cable levers for the turnbuckles, or some things attached in between them. Can you get closeup pics of the rod/cable levers, knee lever (mainly the mechanism - how it attaches and how many cable loops come off it) and the bridge assembly; from the epic it looks like a bar bridge, but it's probably the long-distance shot and lighting. THat'll really help pin down what you have.

Better Pictures
I apologize - my digital camera died. The lens extended, it shut down and won't retract or power on. Sent back to Kodak for repair. In the meanwhile I recropped the original high resolution photos and hopefully you can see the detail. If not, email me and I'll try to send you the full shots which are huge files.
Chuck
The knee lever attaches to two hooks (they are copper/bronze in color) on the 1st and 5th strings (from the top in the bottom view).

Fender Pedal Steel
What tuning are you using on this guitar and what pedals are pulling what strings? I don't know a great deal about these,or I guess I could look at the undercarriage and tell.
Thanks

SOLD - please delete
A local guy ended up buying my Fender steel. He didn't see it on this forum, but I'll still make a donation to keep the good steel guitar karma flowing.
