Hi all,

My wife and I are going to Nashville Nov. 10 week to check out the CMA awards. Can anyone recommend any jams/performances that week where I can check out steel players? We're there Mon-Fri, Nov. 10-Nov. 14.

Like Brandon said, definetely Paul Franklin with the Time Jumpers on Monday night, then Mike Sweeney, he is at The Wheel now, I think (other side of broadway) with legendary drummer from The Buckaroos, Willie Cantu. Every night? Otherwise, there are GREAT steel players up and down Broadway, The Stage, Roberts. I just heard Gary Morse (Brooks & Dunn) at Blue Moon Saloon playing his Desert Rose. DIRTY!!!!!!What a player!!!!! If you need a place to stay ON BROADWAY. (300 block) My wife has one for rent! Enjoy your stay! NASHVILLE IS THE GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD FOR MUSIC!

Thanks all! I'm bummed, cause I'm getting in at 10:30 pm on Monday. Gonna miss Franklin...bummer! But it sounds like a lot of other possibilities. I'm a huge Buckaroos fan! And Sweeney to boot....I'll definitely check that out!!

Brian, according to Theresa's post just above yours, you should still be able to see/hear Paul on Tuesday night.

Also, you probably are already planning it, but while you're in Nashville, a trip by Steel Guitar Nashville to visit with Bobbe Seymour, and no telling what other steel guitarists that might drop by, is an absolute must!
