I am interested in attending. The line-up looks great. What is the smoking policy at the jam? I am allergic to smoke and would be sorely disappointed to have to leave after driving from Seattle if the atmosphere is unbearable.

There is a no smoking policy inside all buildings in British Columbia.

Thanks

The BC Steel concert and jamboree is only two weeks away folks.

We already have 15 pickers confirmed that will be playing.

We have pre-sold half the tickets already.

Jeff Bradshaw will be doing a steel seminar Sat morning and we have room for three more for it.

Check the web site below for all the information.

It looks like a great show, Don.

Sorry I can't be there this year.

I have to commend you on the web page.
Almost everything you need to know is there, even a song list for the Jam!

Where's the nearest major Airport?

Thanks Joey

It looks like a full house this year. Half the tickets have been pre-sold. The nearest airport is Penticton. Regular flight connecterd with Air Canada land there which is just 12 KM from Okanagan Falls. I recommend coming into Kelowna with Westjet which probably has the lowest fares right now.

Great Duane. I'll have to talk Bruce Hamilton into bringing his push pull 67 Emmons when he comes in addition to his JCH.

Sotty Don I would love to have been there, but as like last year my health just won't allow it.
I want to wish you all the best and I know our good friend Jeff will do a great job for you.
Have a great one. Harold

We all had a great time up at Don's BC steel jam. Thanks to Don and his wife Theresa for the great hospitality and wonderful hosts. The steel pickers were all great and it was nice to see old friends again. Thanks again, Don and Theresa. Duane Becker

After about a 1,000 mile drive on Friday, May 16th, with only four hours sleep under my belt, my lovely wife Sally and I finally arrived up there in that far and distant land, quite near the Arctic Circle, I believe it is.
Don and his lovely wife were truly great folks for my wife and I to get to know. They opened the doors to their home, provided great food and converstion. What a pleasureable experience for a couple of limited world travelers, from south of their border.
I've attended a number of these steel jams,
and when I attend Duane Beckers program two years ago up in Spokane, I was truly impressed. Even Duane's most recent event was fun and impressive.
In no way to be play down Duane's show, I must say in all fairness, Don's personal attention to his Jamboree made it a really wonderful and fun filled experience for a couple folks from the old folks home here in the states.
I met some of the friendliest steel players and fans of steel guitar, that I've ever met. Don even pointed out one of the finest CANDY STORES in his area......GREAT FUDGE!!! Trust me!
For those of you who didn't take advantage of this event, it's a shame that you missed so much. FOr those who attended, I know they left with a great deal of warm, fuzzy feelings inside.
Thanks for inviting me up north, Don.
Thanks too, for clerifying the meaning of those little white signs posted on the curves up in those mighty tall mountains. They were a lot easier to negotiate at 50 MPH American, than at 100 mph that I tho't they meant.
