I've got a Peavey Classic 30 with a heavy pressboard cabinet. How would a solid pine cabinet compare in weight and sound to the stock one?

I built a solid pine cabinet for my Session 400, I think it is actually a little lighter than my LTD400. This amp sounds great, maybe partially due to the cabinet, but the Brad Sarno mods to the electronics don't hurt any either.

Here's another cabinet I built that fits several types of Peavey amps. The pictures show a Pacer amp in it, I currently have a Special 150 in it. I left this one natural, with 8 or 10 coats of lacquer. This one's pretty light too, and both amps sound great in it.

I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.
