I play dobro in church "folk" choir, and we find we have to amplify the accoustic instruments so they can be heard. I bought an inexpensive contact pickup. It's the kind that just sticks to the body, and I don't know where to mount it. The "bridge" area of a dobro is diffrent then that of a guitar. Is there anyone out there who has used one of these things and can help me?

Thanks in advance

L.A.

I own a Schatten Dualie, which is also a stick on type transducer. I've used it on my Dobro with some success. You need to move it around to find the sweet spot, which will require removing the cover plate to get to the bridge and the cone. You're not going to get the sound you want, in my opinion, from the body or cover plate of the guitar, but of course try that option first.

Good luck,
