Hi Buck, I'll be working for the Academy there at the awards show, (Mandalay Bay Hotel) Sunday through Wednesday. It would be nice to meet you. If you want to hook up, please get in touch with the ACM security folks at the hotel.
Sincerely,
Tom (Slim) Lattimer

Maybe they'll do a re-run later, and I can catch the last 20! Sorry again! “Uh~” “Big John” wknsg® http://community.webtv.net/KeoniNui/BigJohnBechtels

Buck, that was really a great tune and your Steel was awesome behind Leanne. I feel this was one of the top ACM show perfomances .

Thanks for sharing.

Awesome job. I heard the great playing, then remembered you were playing for her.

Tasteful, appropriate, and your tone was terrific.

I only wish I could have understood the words she sang. Her singing was great, but I have no idea what the song was about. :-)

Your fan,

David Spires

I agree with DS... your playing was verrrry nice, and upfront in the mix! my wife was flummoxed trying to understand what LR was singing, particularly at the end (except the yodel came thru)... I admit I was too, but the steel?...FABULOUS!
[This message was edited by Dave Van Allen on 22 May 2003 at 06:01 AM.]

Sincere thanks to everyone for the kindness! This was quite an experience and considering the backstage chaos that goes with a show like this,it's amazing that anyone performs well! I felt that our effort was a good one and i appreciate all the replies and emails! Thanks guys!!
