I still git to find some chrome chassis strips from somewhere. I do have the oval PEAVEY emblems on order so we're almost done..
This is a 22" tall cabinet. A stock Nash 400 has a 20" tall cab..
It does make a noticeable tone improvement...
Enjoy and keep watching... It may come up for sale but it aint cheap...
Basically a new amp !!!!

I don't care much for that Peavey logo, just my opinion. I would leave it off. It looks better without it. That is one GOOOOOOOOOD looking amp.
Beside the tone improvements already made by the Fox mod, what does the larger cabinet do for the tone? |

I wonder how much of the tone difference is the size difference, as opposed to the material and construction technique? Would the 2" taller make that much difference on an open back cabinet? Looks cool though, and another vote for leaving the logo off. |

You can somewhat improve the bass and darken the overall tone of any open-back cab simply by using wider slats, so the open slot is smaller. I did this on a Peavey Delta Blues (which really comes with no slats) with remarkable results. |

Tommy, those chassis straps always seem to rust anyway. I bought a box of #10, stainless steel, flanged, finishing washers from McMaster Carr and put them on all of my Peavey's. I think they look better than the straps. _________________ Darvin Willhoite

Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

Man I love the way that amp looks. I wouldn't put the logo on it if it were mine. |
