I've been laying low from a ton of gigging for a while but have recently decided to try and find a good band to play "sideways" bass with on the weekends mainly.
Basically I would like to find a good Texas Dance Hall band that plays tons of shuffles and classics. I seriously know just about everything that could be called from Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Darrell McCall, Merle, Buck, Loretta, Tammy, Paycheck, et al and tons of obscure stuff too (who wants to play some Warren Smith?). I also am well versed in Blues, Rockabilly, Elvis, and classic rock as well.
I don't care to play very much new stuff like Chesney or the "Texas Country" scene despite the big bucks those guys seem to be making.
I'm responsible, have a good ear, and I think I'm a fun band mate.
Love to hear from you, thanks!
