Where in the cone does one drill a hole to feed the wire through for an under saddle mounted pickup?
This would be on a spider bridge guitar. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |

Thanks Brad - its more of a generic question as to the location of a hole for undersaddle pickups like the Fishman transducer.
The links you provided are for a pickup that mounts on the underside of the cone so there is no need to drill a hole. The undersaddle type pickup I'm referring to would be on the inside of the cone. Therefore you'd have to drill a hole somewhere in the cone to get the wire out to the output jack.

My Rayco came with a Schertler Basik, and the wire runs through a hole just outside the lip of the cone. It does not go through the cone, and I suspect that going through the cone anywhere would cause no end of rattles. |

Greg, I just noticed your post to the Fishman PDF as I was writing this one. But, here goes anyway. Beard Guitars has a video on YouTube that shows the installation of their undersaddle reso pickup step-by-step.
