Craig, it's a Professional. I have a couple of Fingertips, one is semi-playable and the other is a "basket". I also have a triple-neck Permanent 11-11-16 that has been in the early stages of restoration for a very long time.

There was an earlier post, that I did, on Showing my Emmons again, that evolved into a show the upskirt of this Professional. I removed the rack and barrel and spent a lot of time redesigning and machining an alternative.

I love 'em. They look good, sound good and as experience has shown, can be brought up to a mechanical level where they are better than they were when new.

Ok here is my fingertip again. It was custom built for a Canadian player by the name of Ken Near in 1966. According to Al Brisco, Ken taught him a couple licks, and also taught Buddy Cage.

Sho Bud Pro

Post by Frank Sprague »

I have a Sho-Bud Pro that I can't find enough hours in the day to play . . Works well with the Walker S.S - Can someone tell me the what the difference between some of these models are? For example Sho-Bud Pro and LDG ?, or Pro 1 and Pro 3? Thanks

Pro III. The only steel I have.
Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind!

Sho Bud

Post by Bill Mayville »

Richard said that is not his regular guitar.
I would like to see a picture of the other guitar .because the Sho Bud is one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen.
In fact all the Sho Buds are just beautiful.
I had a formica Emmons for about twenty years.
It was all guitar ,but did not ever look nice like a Sho Bud.
I missed out on looks, all that time.
No wonder you don't see them out in public much.
I think I would keep mine at home also, and have a road guitar.

Remi! Zut alors! A wood wraparound changer. Probably just a couple of months newer than mine. "67-'68. Mine has polished endplates, a more primitive rack and barrels set up. It now has a white fingerboard.
