Jeff,Will it stay in the continental USA?Chuck Back just sent a guitar to me from AZ to AK USPS three day air and was almost $100.00 cheaper than UPS or FedEx.I would also look into Greyhound? As long as it stays on the ground it should be economical. Most companies have a website with a calculator so you can get a close estimate.Stu

Well the safest way is to put in the back seat of your car and drive it home. If you want to ship it via UPS no amount of care in packing the guitar will insure safe damage free results. Sometimes the guitar will be OK, bit the case will be damaged. Probably better off wrapping the guitar in mucho bubble wrap, double boxing it, and shipping the case seperately.

I recently shipped a twin reverb amp in a very nice brand new case and it still arrived damaged. The brand new case was in a box.

Might want to contact a local trucking company. BTW ups is a major pain in the butt to deal with their insurance claims department. To have any chance in hell of getting results from them, make sure you are the SHIPPER, your name needs to be shipper. Neglect this little detail and you are screwed in case of a claim.

Again, best bet is to go and get it. Otherwise, only the best possible boxing and crating will suffice. A normal PSG case will not withstand the torture of UPS. Good freaking luck,Fred

Call MARY, at Nations Express. Her mobile number is 440-341-4596. She handles small freight all over the continental USA. I have no idea what the prices are, but you will get personal service setting it up for one of her drivers. Most drivers have 1 ton vans, or small box trucks. No coveyors, shutes, or baggage handlers.

You may also want to look into shipping it by bus.
