My good friend made 48 million dollars last year as the best paid MUSICIAN in Country Music with a Steel Guitar Player in his band," Toby Keith ". I think my other good friend did the same with Dave Gant on piano in his band with a Steel Guitar Player, " Garth Brooks ". That's inspiring to keep the milestones Strait,George. Leo J.Eiffert,Jr.

I'm sure he gets paid the same as the other musicians. Of course, the leader of the band is paid more.

The steel player gives Toby 400.00 a week, Bill. It's part of the thrill of being a professional musician! Mr. Green

Theres a big difference between the highest paid Musician and the highest paid singer?.. Winking Looking at the Credits on a Toby Kieth CD, I don't see his name on the studio credits on any instrument.. Laughing Usually they don't list the B@ngeo pickers. Very Happy

Don't know if it's true or not,but read one time that Roy Clark paid his band members REAL GOOD,lot's more than the average star did.If so then kudos to Mr. Clark.DYKBC.

Did Toby net that much, or was it the gross of all his shows?

I have not been, and I'm not going to start anytime soon. Incidentally, the local Ford dealership here closed it's doors some months ago....

I played at a rich folk wing ding a couple years ago in Newport Beach where the half time entertainment was provided by Toby's right hand man Scotty Emerick strumming solo on acoustic. I gotta say Scotty is one talented guy! I'm not particularly into Toby's music, but when I heard those songs by the guy who actually wrote them, without that billy goat vibrato, I was very impressed. I hope Scotty gets some of those millions!

I guess that was some time before he dropped Steel from his band. Sad

Perhaps he pays the two keyboardists well.

Well at least no more steel players have to put up with him and his incredibly annoying shtick.
