Note to Mike Brown/ Peavey

Post by Craig Mann »

Dear Mike Brown and the Peavey Professionals,

Thanks for repairing my Nashville 1000 as per your email below. I received the invoice in the mail yesterday for the amount of $0.00, please assume I am grateful that you would hustle to fix my amp and charge me nothing even beyond the warranty on this flagship Steel Guitar Amp.

I played last weekend and missed the weeping shimmer of my Nashville 1000 on the high end and the haunting strength in the low mid range. Thank you for returning a major link in this passion of mine, you have once again gone beyond the call of duty.

All the best and God Bless,

Craig Mann

Peavey is very fortunate to have Mike Brown, and so are we all.

Just thought I'd add to the praise list. I recently called Mike Brown and returned my vintage Peavey Session 400 to Meridian for a repair that had stumped the local techs. The Peavey technicians not only brought it back to life and sounding like it did when I first bought it twenty-five years ago but returned it promptly and at a very reasonable price. My kudos to Mike and all of the Peavey people. They're #1 in my books.

I would like to add to what Craig has already said. I sent my Nashville 1000 pre amp to Peavey for repair. It took less than two weeks and that's with shipping both ways. Cost zero dollars and they paid for shipping back.
What a great place to deal with. Thanks to Mike and all of Peavey.

If there is another person in the music business that makes themselves any more accessible to steel guitar people than Peavey's Mike Brown, I can't think of who it might be.

Many thanks for those comments and compliments. As I've said before, we at Peavey enjoy what we do and we have some great technicians in the company that know what they are doing. It seems that a lot of companies are going "offshore" with their manufacturing and I'm proud to say that Hartley Peavey is continuing his support of the steel community by producing steel amp new models that are designed and built in the U.S.A..

Louie, I thought that you might want to read the short article that I wrote about the Texas show. Great folks that attend these shows. We appreciate the continued support of Peavey products.

Yes Sirrreee! I'd like to add my thanks to Peavey and Mike Brown also!. Recently I sent a mixer and my profex II to peavey via fedex and igot the mixer back in about two weeks with no charges and 2 days later received the profex with new battery, modification and other parts replaced, reloaded with Newman presets, and at a very nominal chArge. thanks, Peavey and Mike Brown! I'd like to add my two cents to the list of kudos for Peavey. My Nashville 400 went into "oscillation" every time I hit a hard lick with my 6-string. I sent the chassis in and they returned it in perfect working order. Invoice amount $0! They sent me a couple of missing equalizer knobs for my newly-acquired TKO-115 bass amp for free! To top it off, I recently bought a well-used 4-string Dyna Bass with two broken pot shafts, mismatched knobs and an intermittent jack. Peavey is sending me a set of 5 matching knobs, new jack, 2 pots and a neck wrench for $25! Needless to say, I'm a die-hard Peavey player!

David has put a curse on me since a patron of the Peavey Demo Booth pocketed his special bar. If anyone walked off with an unusual steel bar in their pocket a couple of years ago at the Texas show, please contact me. He's makin' my life miserable!
