Howard White at the Pedal Guitar -
The first tune is a waltz, 'in three'
while the man and lady standing on the
left are clapping 'in two' . . .
How's that for 'Polyrhythmic'?!

That may be Howard on the video, but I'm pretty sure what you're hearing is the original recording, with Pete Drake playing. |

I gotta go with you on that Donny. It Looks Like Howard White is day dreaming through the rest of the movie. In one part the band does a little swing style breakdown and Howard's got his hands relaxed on top of his steel ,without no bar in his hand and you can hear the steel come in, in a real high register, and he's not playing it , And it ain't no audio sync problem! None of it was recorded live! But it is a joy watching Stu Basore play with them boots just a switchin' back and forth between them pedals. |

I've got Carl and Pearl's 'Don't Let Me Cross Over' on my hard drive along with Bobby Helms's 'Fraulein'. Both songs sound neat run back to back. They sound like they're in the same key and at the same tempo. |
