You must come see our 8 year old steel guitar player. He is amazingly talented. His name is Austin Stewart. The Chinese have shown us for decades, what a child can do if SOMEONE(grand-dad in this case) will take some interest in them and get them some good equipment to work with.I've wished many time someone would have taken some interest in me 40 years ago.

This Saturday morning will start at 10am and finish at 10pm.We will setup three players at each break and that will eliminate a lot of idle time.So be prepared for a lot of steel guitar music.Sunday will start at 12-noon and Joe Wright is scheduled to finish up at 6:30pm.

For our invited guests that are coming in Friday. If you arrive in town before 5pm,come by Osbourn's Automotive Store and I will take you to the campus and get you in your room.My store is located one block north of US412 on Ark Hwy 59.The campus is located one mile south of US412 on Ark Hwy 59.Thats the highway that goes to Van Buren and should NOT be confused with U S Hwy 59 at the Ark/Okla state line that goes to Sallisaw. After 5pm I will be at the campus in the convention center.See you there and have a safe trip. It would be impossible to set here and think of all the folks that need a huge thanks for their efforts to make our 9th annual convention, the best yet.So here is the bottom line.I asked for FRIENDS to come to the convention to play for us and THEY came.I asked for FRIENDS to come to the convention to work for us and THEY came.I asked for FRIENDS to come to the convention to enjoy the music and THEY came.A man,a club,a convention, CANNOT fail when there is friends like these.Roger Osbourn President NEOSGA

Roger, I think that you hit the nail on the head about "Friends". Everyone one who was there at the convention, the musicians, the staff and members and most of all, the people who just came to listen, are all just a huge meeting of friends! Everyone who played was treated like a "friend". Just wanted to thank you and members of the NEOSGA for a wonderful time. Just seeing all those "friends" again was like a family reunion. A special Thumbs Up to you, My "Friend"!

Roger, You did a great job on the convention. Your playing was great too. You got us off to a great start. Thanks for the invite and thanks to all the players for making this a top notch show. Can't wait until next year. Thanks so much to the band- Dwain Carger on drums, Buck Grantham on lead, John Terry on fiddle (great fiddler and great singer) and a special thanks to my friend Larry King for playing bass on my set. Larry also sang several songs over the weekend and the harmony that he and John have is outstanding. Norma Jean Lucas was the staff bass player and did an outstanding job all weekend. If you missed the show, make sure you don't miss it next year.

Just wanted to add my two cents worth...I really injoyed the show and want to thank Roger and the club for inviting me and letting me play on the show.. The back up band was great and what a treat to work with John Terry.. There were three couples that drove down from Iowa and northwest Missouri to see the show, and they thought it was great and plan to come back next year.. A big thanks to Roger and his wife and all who worked so hard to put the show together. It was great.
