Does anyone have a copy of, or could copy from their machine, the rhythm tracks that are supposed to come with the machine. I bought mine reconditioned a couple of years ago and it didn't have the tracks on the hard disk. I've tried to get them from Tascam but they're not downloadable from their website. Anyone on the Forum who uses the 2488 should have the tracks, and copying them onto their computer should be a piece of cake, then they could email the files to me at afbrookes@aol.com.

I don't think the 2488 had any.
Mine didn't, but I bought used.

It's predecessor, the 788, came with a demo song.
It was a Blues Rock song that had instruments on different tracks so you could experiment with mixing.

I don't have that anymore, but it wouldn't help much if I did, because the backup files of a 788 are not compatible with the 2488.

I bought my 2488 used and it doesn't have any back up tracks, but I wish it did, as it would make it quicker to record. Larry

Alan,

I have a MK2488II. I just looked at the manual and find nothing about rhythm tracks. But that doesn't mean they can't be there.
