PCB for demoing opamps

Post by David L. Donald »

I have several circuits to design for mic preamps
and CMOS resister switching controllers.

I have gotten some Analog Devices chips in,
but a few are mind-bendingly SMALL.

Like one is '4 to a little fingernail' with 14 leads per side... 28-lead TSSOP
Glasses, head magnifier and table lamp magnifier and NO COFFEE, even to THINK about leads attaching.

I am looking for small pre made PC boards for mounting single chips of various packages and then running leads from.

I have found a one vendor, but they want super stupid prices.
Why pay $150 to mount a freebie testing chip
and then find I can't use it.

I don't know if this is what you need, but I think it might be. There is a company called Schmartboard that makes prototyping boards for surface mount devices and high pitch IC's. Schmartboard website:

http://www.schmartboard.com/

I know that mouser (http://www.mouser.com) sells at least some of their products. I'm sure there are other sources to order from also.

Sonny looks like a winner so far.

Will read more, I just drove 60 km, in 90 degrees in the shade, sun,
so I am a little crisp for a definite decision just this moment.
Thanks loads.

Hey Sonny I looked longer and emailed them my IC sheet links,
they sent me two types to use.

Looks like this is a winner.
I can even do more than on chip on a sheet.
So I orded 4 of each type I need.

Thanks a million!

Your welcome! I saw them first at Fry's here in Dallas, but I actually haven't tried them. Hope they work out for you.
