This is a clip from a fun and relaxed gig that I played with multi-instrumentalist Nick Pynn at the tiny and lovely venue Bom Bane's here in Brighton last night. We hadn't had time to prepare the set, and Nick had only played two of the eight or so songs we played before, so it was a quite improvised affair. For this tune Nick pulled out the musical saw! Shocked Very Happy

I play my Lazy River capoed on the 7th fret - gives a quite different flavour to the Weissenborn sound. I may pull this clip from youtube eventually as I play a few really dodgy notes in there, but it was a fun moment that I thought I'd share.

Smile

All the best,

Fred

Great video Fred! The saw almost reminds me of the sound of a theremin (sp?), almost spacey. Works well with your song.

Thanks everyone for listening and for your comments! It was just a fun "onstage experiment", but I think that with some work on the saw part it can be a cool addition to the version of this tune I will record for the album I am in the process of making - we'll see. Thanks a lot for the feedback - glad you enjoyed the clip! Smile

Have a great weekend!

Fred
