Hey W.C.,
I also play steel,and recently moved to Tennessee just south of Nashville. My good friend, David Varnado, is one of the top fiddler's in the country,and is now available for full time work. He is soon leaving Neal McCoy, due to Neal is going another direction with his music, and laying his whole band off. David is in his 30's, and started playing professionally at the age of 12. He's played for Loretta Lynn, Johnny Paycheck, Chris Ledoux, Neal McCoy, etc., and won the GRAND MASTER FIDDLE CHAMPIONSHIP, at the age of 14. He also invented his own harmonizer, and has the ability to sound like twin, triple, or several fiddles at once.
