Nice little guitar.
Like the strategic finger placement in the photos... _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Beautiful guitar Rick! Which one of your pickup models is on this one?
|
It's essentially a Potbelly pickup ... wound with 38 AWG magnet wire ... 2.35 k Ohm ...

Yep .. Tucker (only 2 yrs) is destined for the "Brute Squad" ... remember Fessick (Andre the Giant) in the movie "Princess Bride" ... .
He towers over this perfect 22.375" scale ...
Haven't cut his hair yet ... everytime my mother-in-law says something about it ... I add a year till his first trim ...
I think he's up to 7 yrs old now ... before the clippers come out ... |

A very fine example of real craftsmanship!
That should place you right up there in the historical facts book along with Paul A. Bigsby and the like.
Congratulations............
I hope you wrist does not become inflamed from the incorrect ergonomics view in the photo. |

Glad that one is coming to Oahu.
If it goes 'missing', guess who to look for?!
From the looks, it should be worth a couple of years in OCCC.
I may be wrong, but to my knowledge, not since David Kelii's factory custom Fry-Pan has there been an 8 string like this made.
Something tells me this one is even better... |

I love it!!!!!!!!!
The coolest part is long after all the humans are gone, hundreds of thousands years later an alien archaeologist will dig one up and scratch his two heads?
A much cooler story than any wooden guitar could ever hope for!!
I agree with Ray as your art is already part of the story of the steel guitar. |

Another masterpiece. In a few short years you've gone from "How the hell do I make a sand cast" to this level of craftsmanship. I can only shake my head. Guess it helps to be obsessed? : |

Well, the girls got all upset that they weren't in the picture ...
You know that "Green-Eyed Monster" ...
So here's Ellie and Emmie ... with Isaac's Dustpan
Anyway ...
I had planned on making two this summer ... but I'm movin' pretty slow these days ... this one took 2 full months to build ...
Thanks again for all the nice comments ... |

Doc ... it's on its way ...
Maybe one day ... I'll take my babies over there ...
Get a root canal ... drink a few (dozen) Mai Tai cocktails ... and listen to you play that rascal ...
Till then ...
Ocean City ... another filling ... a fifth of Sailor Jerry ... and my JB & Andy Iona records ...
Will have to do ...
Enjoy ... |
