Someone might have covered this one already, but here's a great cover by Radney Foster of Merle Haggard's "The Running Kind," with Crawford as the group's elder statesman (good instrumental break visual).

Thanks for posting the link. This is a wonderful interpretation of a great song. Jimmy must have been in Radney's touring band because Joshua Motohashi is credited on 1994's "Mama's Hungry Eyes - A Tribute To Merle Haggard" album. "Mama Tried" covered by John Anderson & Marty Stuart is kick-ass & Pam Tillis' moving cover of "Silver Wings" features Weldon Myrick on steel.
Bruce Bouton was co-executive producer on the project & Steve Fishell threw in a production credit. It's a good 'un.

FWIW:
The band seen in the video is definitely "lip-synching" to the original recording (like most videos). I believe that Radney used his regular working band (which at the time featured Joshua Motohashi) on the record so that's who we're hearing, and that Jimmy replaced him in the band before they made the video and then toured with Radney for quite a while. I'm pretty sure the rest of the band in the video is the same as on the record; several of them had been in the "Foster and Lloyd" band with Radney (and myself or Bruce Bouton at various times for whatever that's worth...).
The video was filmed in Nashville on the Shelby Avenue bridge; the "American" version also has footage of Radney in various places in Texas, L.A. etc. |

I have to admit: I think it was synced as well. No criticizing of JC, but at the end of his ride, things appear to get a little out of whack.

Wow, it sounds like something Jimmy would do, though....anybody agree? I have some Jimmy stuff that's certainly akin to what he's "doing" here.
