Many thanks to the PSGA

Post by Bob Taillefer »

I want to thank Bob Maickel, Jeff De Maio and Darlene and John De Maille of the Pedal Steel Guitar Association for presenting me with the Clay Savage Memorial 2008 Appreciation Award.

I also want to thank Bruce Chappelle and Mike Gross and the many musicians who graced the stage in Norwalk Connecticutt for their support over the years.

For many years now, I have tried to feature the pedal steel in many musical contexts.

I deeply appreciate the fact that you took the time to recognize my small contribution to our beloved instrument.

Merci beaucoup!

Congrats to one of our dearest friends. Bob works very hard promoting the steel guitar so this is a well deserved honor. Lest we forget, Bob's beautiful wife Deb is also one of our dearest friends who supports Bob's endeavors one hundred percent. We're looking forward to the next time we're together and for sure, The Lord willing, dinner again on Tuesday night at Charlie Gitto's in St. Louis next year.
Best wishes,
...Roy and Barbara

A totally well-deserved award to a great player and friend. Congratulations, Bob!!

Seeing Bob and Debra in the front of the hotel Wednesday afternoon is one of the main attractions for me attending ISGC. Bob's enthusiasm radiates from his face and body and entertains and illuminates everyone around him.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Well deserved.....I always appreciate hearing the wide cross section of music that you so amazingly play......One of my best memories is when you sat in with Western Caravan at The Rodeo Bar for a set....

Mon ami, you're still playing that old ShoBud?

(there's a lesson there for those of us who seem to need a new guitar so often! )

Congratulations! Well deserved!
