Wouldn't you love to put Beethoven, with all his diverse talents, in front of a pedal steel and see what came out ?
And him, stone cold deaf too... NO thanks!

Mike is one of a kind, he and Easley are like, the time-warp mutants this instrument so desperately needs. I love this CD, finally some new steel to listen to!

He wasn't always deaf. :D

I will be bringing copies of the CD to the convention in case anybody wants one. They will be available at Scotty's booth, or from me directly.

I won't have a booth, but will be circulating around chatting with friends, or sitting on the floor in front of the seats during the show.
Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I just got back from a 4 day run of road gigs and I got my copy of "Spanish Steel" right before we left. We spent the whole trip listening to the CD. I'd like to take this opportunity to nominate this CD for a Grammy for the Most Coolest Awesome Record to Come Out in a Long Time. Buy one for yourself. Buy one for your friends. You most definitely won't be sorry.

Just can't believe it

I just can't believe it Charles. My steel has never learned to play in English yet. Maybe I will just take up the kazoo or something. I am certainly not cutout for this group.

Seriously, I may have to get a copy, as I just love Spanish music.

Got one from Mike at the show. A remarkable labor of love and musicianship. Not only is Mike one of the most knowlegable players I have met, but he is also blessed with the best first name in the universe.

Hello Mike,

I just listened to your Spanish Steel CD.

It is a remarkable piece of work. Congratulations!

Although I have enjoyed your other recordings, you went all out on this one.

Bravo!

Bob
