I am looking for a used steel seat, pac-seat, etc. I'm new to the forum and steel playing, so I am not sure of all the names of the brands of seats available. Just looking and wondering if there is anyone willing to let go of a seat they no longer use.
Thanks, Sherry

Sherry,
You need to get ahold of Thom Beeman.
He's taken over the reins again at www.steelseat.com
and he will treat you GOOD!

Seat
Sherry...I would recommend a padded keyboard bench. They are adjustable, quite comfortable, and run about $40.00 at Guitar Center. Much lighter and easier to transport than a pac-seat also.

Hi Sherry, all this is great advice, but you'll no doubt aquire a lot of accessories and misc. do-dads in this new PSG "hobby" of yours. I use a Walker seat. I also have a folding keyboard bench and it works fine in the music room, but the advantage of a pac-a-seat of most any brand, is it'll give you a convenient place to stow all the stuff you'll need...bars, picks, Geo L cords, effects pedals, volume pedal, extra strings, string winder, electronic tuner, & the list just seems to grow. Erv's right, I've seen and sat on Thom's seats at www.steelseat.com they are ultra comfortable and affordable. Used seats come along on the forum every once in a while, but ya gotta be quick.
Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe.

Thanks for all the great advise!
Just wanted to say that as a new player, I really appreciate all the advice I received in response to me trying to find a seat. I have found one at a great price from a fellow forum member.
