Ron I noticed that Ham is on the schedule...Could this be the year he gets inducted?// I said I'd be there if he was but as of yet I've made no plans to do so due to my wifes health issues..I have a friend with a 40 footer who wanted to know if I was going he would be glad to take us.. So lodging wouldn't be a problem...Plus I haven't heard if Smiles is going yet..Looks like another great show on its way..Maybe Norm will bring that guy that sings for him on those records. I forget his name but he's great..

St. Louis Convention

Post by DeWitt Scott »

Just a note to let you know that Leona Williams will be at the Convention and has agreed to sing a few tunes here and there. I consider her to be the female "George Jones". A great country singer. I only wish that I could tell you the names of the other Surprise Guests but I can't. In fact, there may be another top country female singer that may attend. I will know some time today. You just got to attend the convention this year! The price of gas keeps coming down too... Scotty

Scotty's show

Post by Al Marcus »

Scotty- I will not be able to attend the convention, but my heart will be with you and all the guys.

I remember being at your first one in that Motel, just to see Maurice again. I missed the one with Alvino Rey being inducted in the SGHOF. I didn't know he was going to be there in time. We didn't have the Steel Guitar Forum to tell us and your great magazine Steel Guitar Inquirer came too late.

I remember being there when Zane Beck introduced a new 15 yr old kid named Randy Beavers.I was standing near the bandstand right next to him. Thank you for all the wonderful memories I have had over the years....al.:):):)

Just wanted to thank Scotty for booking me on the show again for the third year in a row. Teresa and myself are looking forward to seeing everyone. Our booth location has changed and we will be beside the BMI booth where Steel Radio always sit up as they are moving to a different location in the ballroom. My spot will be 4:45-5:15 Sat. afternoon.
See y'all in St.Louis :D !

Roger and Bobby,

Looking forward to seeing y'all too. I'm at present trying to get ready for the show. I wonder when Scotty will post an updated schedule? See you in a few weeks.

I would like to extend my thank you's to Scotty for the invite I received just this morning, my second year. Thanks again Scotty. :D

I'd also like to mention I'll have a booth in the hallway right across from the registration counter.
With all my "Justice" cases and cabinets, and lots of other goodies. :D

And I'll be jamming with Reece and the boys in the MSA demo room as well. thanks.

Oh M'gosh!

TV reports that a hacker has corrupted the airline traffic computers.....delays and cancellations are in effect.....what will tat mean to ISGC? Oh my.....

This is my FIRST steel guitar convention, and I'm too old to count on future ones.....praying that the problem will be solved before the weekend.

My birdie that just flew in told me that one of the special guests just might be Dolly Parton.

I just wonder if he has the right "POOP"

Seriously, Bob, Shania has a huge patch of land on the South Island of NZ...I've actually flown over it, when I was over there last year. I spent 8 wonderful days in Queenstown, and the guy I was working for while I was there took me out in his helicopter and we flew all over the place, including over her property...GORGEOUS!!!
