Canadian Steeler Don "Smiley" Thompson ????

Any body up Canada & Toronto way remember or know of steeler Don "Smiley" Thompson ?? He gave me a postcard pic of him and his T-8 old trap. Fender with the "Calgary Range Riders ", a popular Canadian group. I met Don in Toronto Can. in 1953. Hank Snow was doing a show and Hanks band was late and Don backed up Hank and did a great job !! Hank said he could bring that band to Nashville as they were that good !! Also I met a singer, Smoky Powers, in Toronto and worked with him a couple weeks. He sang all of Hank Snows and Hank Williams songs so well !! He gave me a pic of him and Hank Williams. Hank was a foot taller than Smoky !! Any older Canadians remember these guys !! I wondered what ever happened to them !! Eddie "C" ( the old non-pedal geezer )
