Happy 4th of July steel guitar club members!

Well the summer is upon us and the heat is up! Time to get outside with those dobros and lap steels and beat the summer heat! Maybe cool off on the porch with your pedal steel and a big glass of lemonade... Just make sure you wipe down all that sweat off your strings!

So I have seen many of you at Sam Ash in the last few months and ive been asked about the next steel jam...

The Southern California Steel Guitar Association Hawaiian Style Luau (and Meeting)

11am-6pm or whenever we quit playing!

Since the last jam was mostly pedal steels, im hoping you lap steel members will come out for this event! This is your day! Of course, pedal steel members are encouraged to attend.

Dobro members are definitely encouraged to attend for the meeting. (only a few came out for the last one)

This will be our first formal meeting as well. I would like as many members to attend as possible to discuss future events and delegation of officers.

Since this will be taken by some people as a "lap steel only night"....I want to be clear that it is not. There will be all styles of music, the Hawaiian theme is just that...a theme. So come and enjoy yourself! There will be lots of Hawaiian style music that will be geared towards the lap steel players so they can get their licks in.
