Whew! How many out there have table saws and how will you look at them now!
Not too long ago my inattention brought me close enough for the blade to "skin my fingertip," leaving a mark about 1/8" round. My first thought of how lucky I was that time scared me so much I hardly felt the pain, and yep, still gives me one hell of a shiver today.
Every good wish, Bobbe. Many are thinking of you today.

Mike , I know how dangerous it is to cut that trim as i do the same thing. I hope Bobby recovers, in good shape, i dont know if you remember me or not . Years ago when Robert was running the Merchants Hotel I played there . you sat in and played my old emmons. once in a while Hank Corwin would come and sit in also. Chet Wilcox

Cutting metal on a table saw!?!?!?! I hate those things for wood, much less metal. Get rid of that thing and don't ever go near one again.
I cut metal on a metal cutting bandsaw. Blade always travels down and pulls the work down to the table, never blasts back towards you. Much safer.
Best to you in your recovery!!! You are held in such high regards in the steel community.

Email from Steel Guitar Nashville:
"Update on Bobbe’s condition.
After a 10 hour surgery, Bobbe is in good spirits. They’ve got him on lots of happy juice and pain killers.
They were not able to save his ring finger, however they used parts and pieces of it to reconstruct his other fingers. They were able to reattach the pinky where the ring finger was so there won’t be a gap.
Now we have to wait and see how it all heals.
He might be able to go home this afternoon or may have to stay another day.
He won’t be typing for quite a while so please understand, he will be reading all his emails but won’t be responding, so keep the emails coming to keep him cheered up."
