Well Jones, you've really outdone yourself this time. I've just spent about an hour and a half going through your complete website and I've laughed with you because of some of the funny stories, pictures and events. I've also had 'alligator tears' with the stories of Gabby, your daughter, and the Cash incident. What a tremendous effort to accumulate and put forth one of the most historic web sites ever, relative to the music we love. You're to be commended for such an endeavor. Even Jody Carver looked exceedingly happy sitting behind the 'Ole Fender'. But the most important question I have is did the "argyle socks" come equipped with a battery so they would glow in the dark. A super site from a super family...Tell Charlotte and MeToo hello from us.... FRED & PAT (the better, prettier half.)

Fred, you are very kind and generous with your remarks and I thank you sincerely.
As for the argyle socks....batteries had not yet been invented at the time! |

Gene, Nice site! I enjoyed it. Not to derail your thread, but, seeing your Harley triggered a train of thought that I believe you might appreciate. If an Emmons P/P is, and I feel it is, the equivelant of a "Harley" in the steel guitar market, wouldn't that make a Sho~Bud the "Indian"? It is not my intention to promote or take away from "any" guitar. This is just sort of the way I see it. I'm curious as to your thoughts on this. If you'd rather discuss this "thought" in private, click on the email button and drop me a line or two. Sorry for the ramble. I did enjoy and appreciate your website!

Relevant thoughts Tommy...if the Sho-Bud is the "Indian" of motorcycles, then it is due for a revival as is the current Indian Motorcycles.
I am a Harley enthusiast, but I also hope that Indian is sucessful and I hope to buy one of them..(...is this an analogy of the current MSA?) www.genejones.com |

Crowbear, I like your analogy. Anything a person "rides" or "plays" is great with me....as long as a person is "riding" or "playing" something! Gene |

That is a great site. Very enjoyable and interesting. How wonderful to have a window into someone elses' world to find that common bond that only musicians and entertainers can truely understand. |

Yor're right, Gene. I've been looking but not talking. Good work. It's clear that you put a lot of work into the web site. Not bad for an old "bootleggin' uncle."

Thanks Roy...I think! I actually was born on a farm adjoining "Pretty Boy Floyd's" brother's farm....but I think he was more into bank-robbing than bootlegging! |
