Sorry to do this, but could someone please explain or post a URL to where I can research the different push/pull models I'm hearing terms like bolt-on, cut tail and fat back and I have no idea what you're talking about. thanks.

Here is my 71 D-10 PP, S/N 1464D, of course Black.
I got it new in either April or May of 71 and the picture was taken about two weeks after I got it.
The amp in the background is a 70 Model Twin Reverb.
Sadly, I sold it in Feb 82 after I got my Franklin and the last I knew about the guitar
was that it had been stolen out of a club in Kansas City, Mo.

Skip....There is a steel player from R.I. named Tony who owns an early model P/P that is similar in color to the picture you posted. If Forumite Sam White reads this post he may be able to supply further information as to whether the mica finish is original or not.

Here's my first pedal steel-a 1974 Emmons student model with three pedals and one knee. This picture was taken at the very first steel guitar show I played in my life in Hollonville, Georgia. This guitar spent some time at the Hollonville Opry House.

This is perhaps my favorite Emmons guitar although I have some push pulls that I like very much. This one has 8+9, 710's and was built by Jack Strayhorn. This photo is from the '07 Branson Jam.

Here's mine - a 2000 LG111 with 8+9. Dave Robbins went through it a year or so ago and he sent it back to me better than ever.

Steels may come and go, but this one will stay with me for ever!
