What is it?
Is it crucial to your audio system, in general? |

It is a dial-up modem inside your computer. The audio reference is for its speaker. If you are now on broadband you needn't concern yourself with it. However, you might want to remove the dial-up connection from Networking, in case a component of the dial-up modem is launched at startup. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

Wiz,
Where would I locate 'Networking'? The closest I could find in Control Panel was Network & Sharing Center.
Couldn't find a place to disconnect Unimodem - wasn't even listed.

Thanks,

Uh, Yeah. That would be the applet to open to look for your network connections, including dial-up networking from previous ISPs. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
