Buddy's Son

Post by Martin Weenick »

Chris Ivey - Chris Buddy does have a son. I met him when he was working in a liquor store in St. Petersburg , Florida in the late 70's. I had a "t" shirt on that I had made up that said "Sho-Bud" on it. He came running over and told me who he was and that the "Bud" in Sho Bud was his Dad, Buddy. He got so excited that he called his Mom right from the store and told her about the guy with a "Sho Bud" shirt on. Real nice young man. That was a while back. Martin.

:D Hey Bob, I love that Rickenbacker, I wish I still had mine. That's the guitar I learned to play on. I wish I had it back, because I sure can't play this one..... HA !!
My formal name is "Fred" but, I've always been called "Rick". Peavey Sessions 400. Peavey Duel Delta Fex. Korg DT-1 Pro Digital Tuner. D2F covers. And proud to say that Chuck Back is my friend.

thanx martin...yeah, just saw the other thread about buddy's kids. guess we should probably get back out of buddy's personal life now!

the steel on ebay, the more i look at it, might be kind of a good little sacred steel hot rod or something..

i think robert randolph built it!

That is a beautiful guitar.

What tuning do you use on an 8-string?
