Greetings to all!. This "steel jam" wants everyone to know that we are aware of other musicians who play different instruments and that they are appreciated and welcomed also.
The southern states Musician's Union will be in attendance with a full fledged Dixie-Land band on stage. It is going to be exciting to hear Autry Rutledge and Buck Grantham "sit-in" with these professional musicians who have performed with everyone from Glenn Miller, Harry James, Doris Day, etc. Fun times for all! See you there..

Looking like a full schedule from start to finish....with music in between each set, provided by Ken Henderson and Don & Nell Richards alternating. Gonna have a lot of fun...let's pack the place again..VFW will have food available afternoon and evening (more than likely burgers, etc.during the afternoon and some of the best, if not the best, surf and turf you'll ever want to sink your teeth into, for the evening feast, and I might add for a very very reasonable price). Feb 1, coming up fast...See ya there.

Gonna miss this one. I had a great time playing at the last Jam 12/07/02. Can you imagine, digging out from 8" of snow in Nashville, TN? I hope I can make another show in the near future! "Big John" http://community.webtv.net/BigJohnBechtels |

Gonna be a $3.00 donation at the door for singles, and a $5.00 donation for couples.....See ya there.......that's this coming Sat Feb 1 Club business @ 10:00AM and music starting at 11:00AM

I know you guys are going to have a great show. Wish I could be there. The music will be super without a doubt. Darn it Ben, you are making me hungry just reading your post about the great steaks, etc.
Hal, please give the commander, the gentleman, that cooks that great surf and turf my best and tell him I'll be there again soon to enjoy his great cuisine.
I'll be thinking about you guys having all that fun. I know my "Cuz" Buck will put on a heck of a show for you as he always does.
My best to Bill, Hal and the entire club for doing such a great job of promoting, not only, steel guitar but musicianship as a whole down here on the great gulf coast.

My Buddy, Roy,...I hope things are well with you after going through what you've just been through with the passing of your Dad, Our prayers are still with you. We'll sure miss you at this "JAM" my friend, but between Van, Vernon and I, we'll try to do justice to the keyboard work....I'll definitely relay the message to Cmdr Doug. Hopefully in March we'll get to see ya at Dallas, My plans are at this moment in time to anyhow. If the school system doesn't change them that is....The best to you and Barbara, and maybe the next one, you can be here....we'll definitely give Mr. Buck & Ms Mitzi your fondest regards.....Later.....HAL

Greetings to all:
We are in for a very special treat as a very popular Nashville touring group of up and coming young Ladies named "MUSTANG SALLY" are on the coast for one of their many Vegas type appearances at one of the casinos. Talked with them yesterday and they will try to work their arrangements to be able to attend our function. Rene Truax, the very talented violininst, sax, guitar, steel, harmonica and other instruments player will be here to play with anyone she wants to and that will be a treat for all of us. Rene was on my program in St. Louis the last time I was there and she just amazed everyone, and besides - she is much prettier than any of these hairy - legged musicians. So, if you are in the area, come on down for a grand time.
Thanks.
