My Franklin Case is broken

A D10 pedal is heavy thing (yes, even a Franklin). The handle of my case has broken last week end after a gig and now I'm afraid to lift the case with the steel inside since I don't want my Franklin damaged from a fall. Sad

My question is mainly for Teresa Galbraith who I hope will relay the matter to her father but all suggestions are welcome.

Can it be mended? Or replaced by a new handle from Franklin Steel Guitars? Confused

...Seriously, I think you'd get one of those easily from any stores in France that do cases and accessories Smile

.....on second thoughts, can't it be welded???

Paul didn't build the cases, Woody Woodell used to. He sold the stuff to Danny Bentley at Bobbe's shop. He's not building the same type of case with it, though.

Looks like you need someone over there with a rivet gun to put a new handle on for you.

Easy job for a repairman at a luggage repair shop. Just make sure you replace the handle with a heavy duty one, not the lightweight ones that are used on luggage.

Those old cases are almost indestructable (except for this handle). I've relined the inside of mine but otherwise the outside is in very good shape and mine is a late 81 model.

These cases are lightweight too.
