A D10 pedal is heavy thing (yes, even a Franklin). The handle of my case has broken last week end after a gig and now I'm afraid to lift the case with the steel inside since I don't want my Franklin damaged from a fall.
My question is mainly for Teresa Galbraith who I hope will relay the matter to her father but all suggestions are welcome.
Can it be mended? Or replaced by a new handle from Franklin Steel Guitars?
The pics below tell the whole story:

Fred.....was it a low roundhouse kick in temper on a missed lick that did that ? ...Seriously, I think you'd get one of those easily from any stores in France that do cases and accessories .....on second thoughts, can't it be welded???

Easy job for a repairman at a luggage repair shop. Just make sure you replace the handle with a heavy duty one, not the lightweight ones that are used on luggage. |

in this day & age, your Franklin deserves better than that |

Those old cases are almost indestructable (except for this handle). I've relined the inside of mine but otherwise the outside is in very good shape and mine is a late 81 model.
These cases are lightweight too. |

Frederic,
Sorry it happened and slow to reply. My Dad suggested you do that very thing! Just make sure it's a heavy duty handle. Best wishes! |
