stringmaster pat pend tuners - what years?

What years did Stringmasters have the Pat Pend tuners (pans)? thanks Bill Q

Gruhn's Guide says:
"Patent pending notice on tuner assembly: 1950-62
Patent number on tuner assembly: 1963 and after"

Stringmasters were introduced in 1953. I've got a '53 tuner pan and a '54 with the lollipop tuners and there is no patent notice. I also have a '55 which does have the Patent Pending notice.
The '55 has the last Stringmaster type tuner assembly when they did away with the lollopops and went to the Klusons.
