Very nice John. I always likes those D-16's. They are getting hard to find.
Add a sound clip if you get a chance. |

Congratulations John!
Does it have the Rick Bakelite "sound" or
a sound of it's own
It will be great for all those arrangements
of Jerry's that you have mastered.
Thanks for emailing me the pics.

Man, I really want one of those. Where did you find it? Don't see them often. |

Nice score! I've always personally thought they were kinda homely lookin' (IMHO), but they still sound great. What year is it?

I found the guitar here locally. I don't know the year, but; the S/N is D-27112, if that helps. Everything appears to be original. _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

Cool Steel Big John!
Those DW-16s are great sounding guitars.
That's what Gary Brandin plays.
He has a blonde one like this:
Hang on to this one buddy - it's a good one! _________________

Hi John !! Nice steel !! I have a blond DW-16 , ser. # D 6088 , a real sweet sounding guitar from 1956 someone told me !! The horseshoe pkups still have the magnetic force in them and the sound is definitely Old Rickenbacher. I do the old Hawaiian stuff and am very happy with the sound and the appearance !! I'll send you an E-mail with a pic. Eddie "C" ( the old non-pedal geezer ) |

I like DWs so much I have three of them.
Here is a pic of one with my SW single neck. Similar body as a Fender Dual Pro but with horseshoe pickups.
