Larry Gatlin & Gatlin Bros Taking Somebody with me when I fall...

who was the steel player on this song? I haven't played the song since about 1980, but I'm thinking about working it up again... I kinda like it and am feeling nostalgic....

anybody know who played steel on the lp?

Good guess Joe Smile Yep, it was the Miguel unit. I remember that session...Brent Maher was engineering (he later produced The Judd's) and we kept getting a funny noise that we finally isolated as being the drummer. He was grunting very loudly while playing congas. I think that was recorded at the old Creative Workshop in Berry Hill.

Cool tune and I enjoyed playing it live...I'd like to hear what you do with it Randy.
