I've a friend with what I believe is a 50's Supro Clipper, a pretty basic lapsteel. s/n V5598
Anyone care to suggest a range of values for this guitar? poor-excellent?

The Vintage Guitar Price Guide says between $275 and $325 USD in "excellent" condition. Adjust downward for actual condition and level of your friendship.

| That price guide is vintage itself, as you'd have to be rather lucky to find any steels now day's for under $400, especially with a known name in ex. cond. |
