It was built around 1980.
Probably worth around 1500.00 in today's market.
These are my educated guesses....and I certainly can't compare it to other steel guitars; not my place....as I only play Sho-bud's and not fair to compare to something I haven't much experience with.
Looks to me like you got a good deal.
Learn; and enjoy and get as much as you can out of making the sound of the steel guitar.

Hi there . Date of manufacture seems about right. My own LDG we think was built around 1975 and the serial number is arond two thousand before yours.Good luck with it as it is a nice unit,I may play other makes but i still like the old shobud tone.Best Regards Keith White UK.
Sho-Bud 'LDG', Sho-Bud 'The Professional', Rains SD10, Fessenden D10, Hilton Pedal, Peavey Session 500, Peavey 112, Lots of PV PA, And of course, the BJS Bar (for the best tone)! Love all Steel Guitars!

I think you got a buy, with that LDG. Just play sweet country songs on it. Yes, I think yours is around 1980. Kieth is around 1975, and mine is in the 11xxx's. And I got mine in around 1969. Lloyd Green talked me into his LDG model in 1968, when he played for our recording session, and I got mine right after that. I did move my LKL, and LKR levers 2 inches to the left, so I could play the A pedal, and the LKL, without hitting the B pedal, when I rocked my foot. Good luck.
Sho-Bud LDG, Martin D28, Ome trilogy 5 string banjo, Ibanez 4-string bass, dobro, fiddle, and a tubal cain. Life Member of AFM local 142

Guido it looks very nice . I suppose you could say that i'm a Sho~Bud freak ( ok guys i didn't open any doors for ya ! ) I love Sho~Buds as a lot folks know . I still have my Pro-ll Custom that i had built for me back in 1977 and it's still a great guitar . You asked whats it worth ? Well they are like street rods ,it's whatever someone is willing to pay for it ! I sold a very nice one for $2700.00 and i think it was worth every penny of it . Bobbe Seymour has them from time to time for different prices . You can check there for a reference if you like . Anyway very nice guitar so enjoy the experience . G.P.

Hi, Virginia!
It's really quite the same as mine, just a bit cleaner! But I will let it restored within the next months... Nice one!
I live in Gütersloh, 12 months the year! Maybe me and my girl could rest 6 months a year on Hawaii, in future - or probably only in our dreams...!
Do you have some sound samples with your LDG you can send me?

Cheers from Germany
