new to the forum

Post by Jonathan Buchanan »

hey yall, my name is jonny buchanan. i just joined the forum and am anxious to be a part of the steel community.

i moved to nashville a few months ago, after graduating from college, to pursue playing pedal steel full time (which is pretty, pretty tough). but i'm young and eager to keep learnin so we'll see what happens.

i play a derby single neck and have been playin almost three years. i took lessons from stoney stonecipher in knoxville for a coupla years (where i'm originally from). hope to plug in and get involved with more music.

cheers,

jonny

Welcome aboard Jonny, and I wish you luck in pursuing your dream.

It seems a fair amount of the top pro players are getting up there in years, so at some point you should be in a good position to make a steady living as a steel player.

Hi Jonny,
By playing steel you are, by default, already part of the steel community! :D
I like your spirit!
Regards,
Nic
