MY NOVA SCOTIA HOME Instrumental Lap Steel/Guitar

Post by Roy Thomson »

My Nova Scotia Home is a song that was written
and recorded by Hank Snow during the latter part of
his career.
It is one that I am including in my Hank Snow
Collection CD and Tab Book to be released
in August.
The lap steel is borrowed from my son and
is a Gibson BR-4. The Guitar is also a Gibson,
Gospel Model borrowed as well from my son for this project.I play all the parts and had to do a lot of
practicing on the Hank guitar parts. He was quite
a unique "picker".
Worthy of note is the fact that my Tab will
have the guitar parts as well as the Lap Steel
parts integrated therein. This means
that both the Guitar player as well as the Steel player will benifit from this Course. It is the first time I have seen it done this way and I hope it will prove benificial.
The lap steel tuning is C6th.
It is CANADA DAY today and I hope all Canadians are
enjoying the Holiday.

Hi Lee :D

Hope you are having a good summer.

Sorry to hear of your problem. The link
works. I suspect that your default player
setting for Internet MP3's needs to be ajusted :?:
or I can send it to you when I get back
home.

I can't open it either...

I am interested in these tabs/cd from you.
I'm a little confused, though about clic-tab.
I mean, do you send me printed out tab or is some kind of software needed on my part?
also would this CD feature two tracks for each song, One with your playing, one without for backup?

It sounds like something I would definetly order.

thanks!!!

Many thanks Andy for your help. I tried your
link myself and it works great!
I will be in touch in the next few days
and confer with you further on this matter.

John,
My Courses include a Tablature Book and a CD
so you can look and listen in order to learn the
songs. You do not need any software.

Thanks so much for the nice comments and the
interest. I appreciate it all very much.

One of my favourites for many years, great job. I had to use Andy's link suggestion to play the tune too.
